You gave a magnificent talk and powerpoint presentation before the Algiers Historical Society (AHS) meeting audience on Feb. 25, 2023.
It was informative, engaging and at times humorous. Your delivery and mixture of the three were spot on. The appropriate period accouterments you wore just added to the authenticity of your presentation.
Thank you and keep up the great work.

"I want to thank you for joining us on our annual Heritage Day. The weather was almost perfect and we hosted over 800 students and teachers! I talked to many of the kids as they were leaving about what they learned and lost count of how many told me about Grandma Zeline. You seemed to be one of the favorites (of course)." Brenda, Destrehan Plantation
"Inspiring young people to learn about their family history and history in general is no easy task. Our Mammy’s Genealogy Sleuthing Workshop does just that. Using fun, interactive and hands on activities, children learn how to decipher clues about their ancestors. This is a great workshop for school groups, scouts or other clubs." Susie Tully, Old Benevolent Society, St. Francisville
"Thank you Gaynell! You did a great job dealing with a tough topic and I think you helped the campers make some very personal connections to the enslaved women’s life experience." -Patricia C, National Park Service, New Orleans, LA.

"Attended genealogy session re researching African American ancestry at the Westbank Regional Library yesterday. Sister & I had just begun exploring a little. We found the session and Gaynell Brady the presenter, very informative, interesting and entertaining. "

"I so much enjoyed working with you and having you present your knowledge on African American genealogy to our classes. The same goes for the other ethnic classes. We have a lot to be thankful for; 5 years, 100 classes, 8,000 attendees and not one complaint or incident. God Bless, and as we say in Italian Buon Natale."
-Sal, Jefferson Parish Library
"Gaynell Brady is an awesome historian, storyteller and lecturer! She held our attention and revealed interesting facts about African American ancestry in Louisiana. She added humor and valuable insight to a very painful past for Black people. I am so glad my Sigma Gamma Rho sisters and I decided to come to our Soror's presentation!" -Jacqueline S.
"I truly enjoyed your detailed presentation... Gaynell has inspired me to find out about the lost roots that creates who I am." - Sonthia C
